POOLS
Our nine-acre property includes three salt-water pools, available to inhouse guests and those staying in town visiting us for a quintessential Marrakech day pass. Take a refreshing dip, lounge on one of our reclinable pool chairs and soak in the sun. Listen to a curated playlist blending jazz and soul at our main house pool. Or browse the shelves of our eclectic personal library for your perfect poolside read. At any pool of your choosing, a member of our staff will bring a bar & café menu. Featuring snacks, locally roasted coffees and teas, fresh juices and our signature botanical cocktails, it’s a taste of the culinary experience Jnane Tamsna has to offer.
TENNIS
Jnane Tamsna has a clay-surface tennis court equipped with everything you need to play a set. Perfect your backhand surrounded by birdsong, lush palms, and the natural decor of bougainvillea. You can even book a private lesson with an English-speaking tennis coach through the concierge. Cool off with a dip in a nearby saltwater pool afterward.
YOGA
Our location in the Palmeraie offers a zen space to reflect and connect with body and soul. We have a multitude of areas to lay your mat. Our rooftop terrace, draped in bougainvillea, gives a view of our verdant palm tree canopy. It is also the perfect spot to watch breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. If you prefer a guided session, you can book a class with our instructor Ines. Her positive energy and professionalism make her a favorite among our guests. Jnane Tamsna hosts regular yoga retreats. If you ever wish to organize your own, we can collaborate with you on crafting a bespoke program.
COOKING CLASS
Take a piece of Moroccan flavor back home with this special Marrakech cooking class available to all guests, whether staying onsite or visiting us for the day. The sessions are led by Chef Fatima in a tree-filled ephemeral outdoor kitchen. From traditional Moroccan salads to delicious tagines, she will share ancestral local culinary knowledge. Our morning cooking workshops start at 10:45 am and our evening sessions at 3:00 pm. Enjoy the unique opportunity of picking organic vegetables and herbs grown in the garden and integrating them into these traditional recipes. A truly immersive farm to table cooking experience. Workshops include a full 3-course lunch, tea, and coffee. The class lasts about an hour and a half, after which you can take a seat for an al fresco lunch in the garden. Time to enjoy your culinary creations!
AFROBEATS DANCE CLASS
Let your body get into the groove with our Afrobeats dance classes. A fusion of African rhythms and Western music styles, including hip-hop, R&B, and dancehall, this unique activity makes for a fun workout. Our class is led by the energetic Gerard. No experience is necessary and he can cater to all levels. Class duration is an hour and a half and can include up to thirty people.
HENNA
Delve into one of Morocco’s most beautiful aesthetic traditions by booking a henna tattoo session. Our partner employs talented local artists who use 100% organic henna appropriate for all skin types. This traditional art form is typically used for weddings and other special occasions. The practice is also grounded in the belief that henna grants good luck and spiritual protection.
POTTERY
Pottery is an ancestral Moroccan tradition. You can learn from a wonderful local potter right here in our gardens. Enjoy a beautiful afternoon of shaping clay in the shade of our palms serenaded by birdsong. Your ceramic mentor offers guidance and tips, catering to all levels of experience.

CAMEL RIDES
Go on a mini-adventure with our scenic Marrakech camel ride. Beyond Jnane Tamsna’s walls lies the Palmeraie, or palm grove. Our charming cameleers will come straight to our doorstep to meet you, whisking you off to explore the landscape. This iconic rural hinterland stretches for kilometers and is dotted with date palms. Shepherds herd their sheep and goats as they graze near the traditional earth-built villages, and storks, the city’s mascots, glide through the skies. This activity is perfect for couples, groups of friends, or families. We recommend booking your camel ride an hour before sunset for an added touch of magic.
BIKE RIDES
Bike rides are an opportunity to see the surrounding landscape while getting some exercise. If requested, guests will be picked up from the hotel property and go on a guided bike ride through the Palmeraie. This ride will give a view of rural shepherds guiding their livestock through the stretches of golden-hued land, and charming traditional villages. The landscape is gorgeous throughout the day and in every season, with the majestic Atlas serving as a stunning backdrop to this Marrakech desert tour. If guests would like to see the mountains up close, guided bike excursions are also available. Bikes and helmets for all ages are provided.
OFFSITE ACTIVITIES
SIDECAR TOURS
For those looking to explore Marrakech’s most iconic corners with an added touch of class, we recommend booking a sidecar tour. The elegant vintage Ural motorcycle and adjoining sidecar can take up to two passengers, creating a fun shared experience of roaming the area in style. Guests will be picked up on our doorstep and transported through a bustling flea market as you enter the ancient city center, to stunning art deco buildings then across the scenic palm grove landscape. A little more adventurous than the usual rides, this 1.5-hour or 3-hour excursion is a fun and family-friendly way of discovering Marrakech.
HORSEBACK RIDING
Morocco has a beautiful legacy of horse breeding and equestrian arts. A horseback ride through the stunning desert landscape makes for a romantic Marrakech excursion. A short drive from our hotel, the local riding club is set on a beautiful farm where the horses graze freely in verdant paddocks. The surrounding oasis is perfect for hacking, giving you a chance to discover lush green fields, palm groves, and local villages. It is one of the most magical things to do in Morocco year-round. With over fifty horses and ponies, the club caters to all ages and levels, with dressage, jumping, and cross-country classes also available.
HOT AIR BALLOON RIDE
We are excited to offer our guests the opportunity to experience the thrill and beauty of hot air balloon rides. The early rise is entirely worth it, with the breathtaking aerial views being among the most special memories we curate for our guests. After being picked up an hour before sunrise, you arrive onto a vast expanse of rural land, where watching the balloon fill with air is a gorgeous sight in its own right. Ride over the hills and glorious Marrakech hinterland, watching the sun rise over a stone desert, earth-built hamlets, and golden hills. The starting prices include a welcome tea, a local breakfast under a traditional Caïdale tent upon landing, and a flight certificate per passenger.
MOROCCAN BLACK HISTORY TOUR
As a black-owned business in Morocco, we take pride in offering our guests the exclusive opportunity to gain a fascinating insight into the history of blackness in our country. Led by Sofyan, a Ph.D. student with expertise in Black Moroccan history, this tour takes you through a selection of places of note: a souk where enslaved people originating from Sudan were traded long ago, nearby landmarks connected to this legacy, a photography museum with a rich visual archives of their lives in Morocco, and more. Overall, this journey through time will leave guests with a rare understanding of the influence of the Trans-African trade on Marrakech and the country as a whole.

The Marrakech Medina is among the most magical places to visit in Morocco. It perfectly encapsulates the tradition of exchange on which the Red City is built, and is the focus of the most iconic Marrakech tours.
